ok so today after losing abit of weight i decided to start doing some weights, I was halfway through my sets when i got to bench dips. On the 3rd set i felt my chest pop right in the centre. It doesn't overly hurt now but it is aching.
I tried doing other things without using chest which were fine but i thought probably best to stop. I tried doing another dip about 10 mins later to see if it hurt and it did.
Anybody got any ideas? Have you experienced this?

Was it really painful? Something kind of like this happened to my friend a few months ago. She was laying in bed with her husband and all she did was turn slightly and there was sort of a pop/crack sound. When she went to her doctor they didn't see anything wrong and they thought maybe it was just an injured rib.
Did you happen to hurt your chest at all previous to this exercise or anything like that?
I can't really be sure considering I'm not a doctor and I really only have a general idea of the muscles in your chest/what's inside your chest cavity. I think if it's something that concerns you, you should always see a doctor.0 -
Uhhh see a doctor? That's probably the best thing to do.0

The fact that it continued to ache/hurt afterwards could be cause for concern. It could be a injury to your ligaments around the sternum. See a doctor.0
