    1. Log all of your food/drinks.
    2. measure your food and drinks (my wine hits the measuring cup before my glass)
    3. Do not give up your favorite junk foods, just eat in moderation. (If I have extra calories at the end of the day, thats when I go for a little bit of chips, chocolate, or ice cream).
    4. Move. Everyday go out of your way to get in extra movement.
    5. Drink at least 8 glasses of water.
    6. Know that the scale will flucuate everyday, and it's normal
    7. Find a hot small dress or jeans and make it a goal to fit in them.
    8. If you have a bad high calorie meal...that's only 1 meal. Eat right the rest of the day, your efforts were not spoiled by that 1 splurge.
    9. Eat some raw veggies before going somewhere where lots of junk food will be out for grazing (you'll be too full to snack)
    10. Look in the mirror and say "I can do it".

Measure each glass of wine? Why, it says 750ml right on the bottle. ;-)

My comment on no fries or potato chips actually based on my own extensive research. They put the pounds on me fast. Especially when I wash them down with beer. Seriously, I feel in my heart (no research here) that I should give up anything that is dunked in boiling oil. I made that choice while standing in McDonalds to get a grilled chicken wrap and maybe some fries. The calories in the wrap about 400, as a meal about 1300. So I stand by my tip of no fries or chips for no other reason than it works for me and there are better calories to eat.
