I'm 39 years young. I've lost weight ... 80 lb here, 55 lb there ... Gaining some (but never all) back in between. After a running injury lasting months, I sort of lost control again and have been able to regain control over the last two weeks. I'd love to connect with people looking to lose weight, who are active, committed and generally happy.

Add away! Good luck on your journey, whatever it may be!

First things first, I admire your positive attitude and your overall outlook! Very refreshing to see and inspiring. I noticed that you said that you had a running injury. How did you overcome it and/or keep active during that time?
My knee has been giving me trouble for the past year and it has been during this past year that I've regained everything that I had lost up until that point. Can't blame it all on the knee though....just overeating and not being active. I'm still finding it hard to do all the activities and workouts that I would normally use to do pre-knee injury.

    Good luck! :)

Hi! Well, I too can't blame my recent weight gain on my right leg/hip issue, or even on the toe I broke 2 months ago. It all has to do with the eating. As for my recovery, I'm seeing a physiotherapist and osteopath while doing lots of stretching at home. I wasn't able to do any activities, including walking, for weeks. Swimming and yoga were my only options. I am JUST getting back to moving and am not 100% yet. Tomorrow, I will give running a try, 1 min. Run/ 1 min. Walk x 3 is the progressive return program's first step. Often, the trick is to combine strength training and yoga with the running to avoid injury ... Get those glutes and hamstrings strong. Every situation is different though...
