Best method for fat loss, exercise wise?

Hi all,
I've always wanted to achieve the long, lean, defined/sculpted look to an extent, not bodybuildling-like, but to maintain a softer, more delicate look (for example, Jennifer Aniston). I've read some of the forums and it seems as if a ketogenic diet is the way to go, but I'm not into High Fat/Low Carb. Is there a way I can lose body fat with just exercise? HIIT definitely seems to pop up on the forums, but I'm on the 5th floor of an apartment building, and I don't wanna cause any disturbances to my neighbors. If you all can share some YouTube videos, that would be great!
Thanks!

The best method to achieve this is strength training and calorie counting. HIIT is great! Throw in some dumbbell workouts and you'll see amazing results. Count your calories, don't worry about ketosis, it's not necessary.0

1. Lose fat through a balanced diet and while maintaining a caloric deficit (forget BS fad diets).
2. Lift weights. No this is not the only way, but it IS the best way. You'll never get 'bulky' unless you push yourself for many years AND take testosterone/anabolics to enhance your muscle building ability.
That's really all there is to it.
Simple huh?!
oh and if you'd like some evidence: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/977538-halp-heavy-lifting-made-me-supah-bulky
