I quit using my microwave (completely got it out of the house) 2 years ago and began using a toaster oven after I learned about all of the harmful things it can do to you and your food!

Including
*weight gain
*Low energy levels
*depression
*decreased nutrient value of you food
*Increased risk of cancer
There is even such a thing as microwave poisoning!

Don't take my word for it! Please inform yourselves as much as you can! Every little thing counts.

Maybe this is one of the contributing factors of the rise in obesity in the country.

Here is a helpful article I came across today

I have mine in the understairs cupboard in the hall as my kitchen is too small but when I had a larger kitchen and used the microwave I NEVER stayed in the kitchen while it was on. I hardly use mine, 'baked' potatoes being the only thing i cook in it, after that its the occasional warming up or defrosting of something.

I've never fully trusted them but at the same time I find them invaluable at times. Just use caution like with most things in life
  • that is scary, considering I microwave my babies food... ugh gonna try not to use it anymore, I always did know it was bad just never looked in-depth into it... also have you heard of Kevin Trudeau? he did a study where they planted 2 seeds in seperate pots, watered one with microwaved water and the other with normal water... surprise, the microwaved-watered one didn't sprout... creepy...

I've heard of that study on microwaved water from several sources! It literally KILLS the plant. Imagine what it is doing to our food, which is made up of water!
