So I am a newbie to cooking, and scrambled eggs is becoming my staple 'go to' meal.

What are some interesting ways you make your scrambled eggs?

As for now I've been adding a quarter teaspoon of olive oil per two eggs and half a teaspoon of all natural honey.

What are you doing to make those taste buds happy?!

bacon, chopped onions, capsicum, zucchini... cook these in a dry fry pan (bacon has enough oil) first.

    Set aside.

cook scrambled eggs (eggs lightly beaten with a fork and add a dash of cream and pepper)...cook eggs to perfection then mix through the above bacon etc.

    savoury so no honey!!!

    edit: and mushrooms...spring onions.

    holy smokes that sounds good.

when you say at the end... you mean turn off the stove and let the pan do the rest of the heating when you put the caviar on top?

I mix my scrambled eggs with sausage and cheese and a little dried onion. Mix it all together and cook it up. The cheese just blends right in.

Of course, I cook up the sausage ahead of time and toss in the desired amount at time of egg making.

Roll it up in a flat-bread if you want to make something a bit different.

I have any veggies in my fridge. I love spinach and feta in mine. Adding mustard (Dijon or grainy) is always nice.

Also love scrambled eggs with guacamole and salsa. Eggs are great!

Poached eggs are easy, too, so if you get bored with scrambled that might be a new thing to try. Here's my favorite egg recipe, that might work with scrambled, too: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/turkish-style-eggs/detail.aspx

I love over easy eggs over toast or thick sliced ham or a burger! (I like organic turkey or chicken burgers you can take out of freezer and fry up in pan with the egg). I love over easy eggs basically with everything, roasted brussel sprouts, over a Caesar salad (homemade dressing of course!), on a sandwich, over black beans and a tortilla, yummm

can you elaborate about how you add spinach & mustard to them? ..as I said cooking is something entirely new to me.

    :embarassed:

edit: forgot to say spinach as well.

I add spinach to everything I can. I also make aioli (1/2 cup olive oil, 3 tablespoons minced garlic, splash of salt, splash of lemon juice), whip in the bullet blender for about 5 minutes, turns into super garlicy mayonnaise. On weekends I'll add spinach, red skinned potato, chives, green pepper, and onion, then top with some aioli or sour cream, If new to cooking in general: Sautee the spinach, onion, pepper and onion in pan with a little oil, until the peppers and onions are soft. Poke holes in your potato and microwave it about a minute and a half, it will come out basically cooked, cut it into thin slices and add it to the pan. Once the veggies are soft add your eggs and cook everything together. Top with sauce. Enjoy.

I second what everyone has already said. I've been doing eggs with chorizo sausage, swiss cheese and a little taco sauce for added flavor. If you want to add some carbs roll it up in a tortilla. Sauteed veggies would be tasty with it too.

I will put most anything in eggs. Fresh spinach is nice with some goat cheese, scrambled. I will fry an egg and eat it over rice or beans.

Scrambled eggs with mushrooms, onions, and sweet bell peppers are delicious! I also usually throw a little cheese in there.

Ham, cheese, peppers, diced tomato, and onions with a dash of Srirachi Chili Sauce mixed into the eggs for a Southwestern type omelette is always good.

Just be creative. My husband likes ham and Swiss cheese on his eggs.

How is this: .. 2 fried eggs - fried in 1/2 tsp of olive oil.. so they don't stick, use a good teflon pan..
make the oil pretty hot and drop the eggs.. when the bottoms are getting a bit crispy drop a little water on the pan next to the eggs... about 1/2 tsp or so..
and place a lid on the pan to allow the steam to cook the whites but the yolk can be a bit runny (which I like). Then you top your favorite foods with the fried eggs...

this morning I had a glorious breakfast.. in the same small pan I fried the eggs I stir fried 1/2 cup of steamed green beans and 1/2 of tomatos but I did not add oil. (Note: fry the eggs first then the veggies..so the pan is clean and your eggs won't stick to the pan.)
I cooked the tomatos until they where soft then added salt, pepper and even garlic powder. I also like to eat my fried eggs over spinach/ kale and feta cheese or just two slices of smoked ham -which I crisp in the pan as you would do with bacon.

first time I've observed the term 'glorious' used as an understatement.

I dice up sweet potatoes pretty small, put in a pan with a little bit of butter and let them cook until done (nice texture and I aim for a bit of browning too), then I add in some diced onions and garlic and red pepper, let those cook a few minutes until the onions are translucent or maybe even getting a bit brown, toss in a bunch of spinach and stir it around until it wilts way down - then I realize it's not that much spinach most the time, so I add more and do it again. Basically, I start with the vegetable that will take the longest to cook and let it get mostly done, then add the next ones and get them done, and the spinach is super quick. Now I've got a whole mess of lovely vegetables just waiting for eggs. In a bowl, I have my eggs all beaten with a fork and I add seasonings to taste (I like seasoning pepper, pinch of salt, and basil) and stir those in to the eggs -- once the vegetables are done, I pour the eggs over it and use the spatula to keep the eggs moving and blend them around all the vegetables as they cook. So it's basically just scrambled eggs with vegetables in it.

I hate liquid-y eggs, so I make sure it's entirely done before I melt an ounce of grated smoked gouda (toss it in and stir it around).

I'll even pre-prep all of this for several days -- just pre-cut all the vegetables and refrigerate, pull them out and toss in whatever portions I need. Really cuts down on my daily prep time, and I could eat this meal pretty much every day. I'll vary the vegetables and such.

Want some meat? I bought a pound of ground lamb at the farmer's market the other week and made it up in advance. Then I cooked the vegetables, put a serving of the cooked lamb in and got that all warmed up, and then added the eggs. Totally awesome.

I have given up cow-dairy products so I do not do cheese any longer, but I add spinach, red onions and sliced mushrooms to my scrambled eggs if I am looking for a larger meal. I have also added ground sausage for depth
