Where ar emy swimmers at?

My favourite form of exercise (since a life-changing cycling accident three years ago) is swimming. Anyone else here into it?

I know other things can burn more but it's low impact (been told that my sacrum situation rules out running) and I just love it, and it's the one thing I know I'll always come back to (unfortunately the accident amongst other things gave me a dodgy shoulder tendon, so overdoing the front crawl results in big flare-ups). I go on Swimtrek and am looking forward to a summer of open water :) I'm also working on how I can maximise my calorie burn from my swims. How about you?

That's not so bad! If you own a thermal rash vest and some swim socks, you would be fine, so long as you acclimatised yourself to it?

Another month before the lake is warm enough to swim. Can hardly wait.

Added bonus, watching the wildlife as I swim by (I use breast stroke or side stroke)

I am currently in training for 2 open water swims this summer (2.1km and 3.1km).

Currently swimming in the pool until the lakes warm up.

I am also looking at getting a wetsuit. I tried a few on this weekend and it looks like the one that fits the best is the most expensive.

don't really have access to a pool and while i did love it, there are other things i'd rather do these days
