Hi All!
So I'm going into surgery on the 13th will be in the hospital a few days and then back home with a very limited amount to what I can do the first few weeks. So I am trying to find someone who knows how to prep meals to freeze so all my family has to do is pop it in the oven. Any help with this would be great appreciated. I want to stay on a healthy lifestyle and no processed meals. Something I can prep myself and not something that comes out of the frozen aisle at the store. Problem is I am clueless to what you can freeze and what you cannot. I have been looking on youtube but really not getting what I need. So if anyone has any successful recipes that would be awesome Thanks!

Try this website. In the search bar at top of page , write " Freezer Meals". It will populate over 15 pages of easy freezer meals so that you just pop in oven etc.

You can pre-cook beans, brown rice, just about any kind of soup and bread item and freeze those. I've noticed that potatoes tend to turn out mushy if i cook and freeze....but otherwise, most vegetables do well. I cook and freeze soups and chilis and refreeze cooked meats. Hope that helps, along with the link that another poster posted0

I went to a Wildtree Freezer Workshop party two weeks ago. Instead of making 10 meals I turned each one into six separate ones (so 60 total). I then did some Googling and found out who to freeze cooked Spaghetti Squash, Mashed Potatoes, and Rice with Barley Pearls. Every morning when I get to work I choose my lunch and put it in the refrigerator to thaw. By lunch time I just have to cook it (we have a microwave, PIC, and toaster oven so that helps. Below are a couple of links. Use your own spices, pre cook your sides, and your family will be good to go.
