    Consuming less energy than you expend on a routine basis; calorie deficit. That's all you need to lose weight.

    CV work helps build the deficit and gives you more choice about what you consume.

    Resistance training helps in the retention of lean mass, so optimising the loss towards fat.

    And magic beans don't work
