Hello, I have been on armour thryoid for a few months but still am having lots of problems such as :tremors, starving even after eating 20 oz of meat, fast heart beat and have been trying to lose bodyfat but nothing helps. Wondering if anyone has had similar problems or know what is going on? I see my dr tomorrow and would love help on how to go about this.

please help having a hard time not eating my kids!

I also have a hyperactive thyroid, and every time I try to diet I feel like I'm dying. Do you eat a bunch of tiny meals frequently? I feel like it's the only way to trick my body into thinking we're eating a lot. I also drink a stupid amount of water. I'd love to hear what the doctor had to say..

yeah its ridicioulsy hard, like my full time job is making small meals all day even doing that and eating super low calories for my stats I still cant lose bodyfat.. I'm not not sure what the secret is or what the dr's are not telling me

I was just diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism a couple months ago and feel like I HAVE to eat even when i'm full to the point of exploding and always tired (probably from the eating but i'm tired regardless if I eat or not) just last week I had my blood work redone after being on thyroid meds for 6 weeks and now I have hypothyroidism, still feel the same but had to stop my meds. I managed to do 6 weeks of T25 and lost 13 lbs and 7 inches between Feb-April.
After 7 weeks of horrible fatigue and binging, i'm ready to get back on track.

MFP has a Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/770-hypothyroidism-and-hyperthyroidism

I have Hashimoto's, and I'm less hungry when I use MFP's protein & fiber goals as minimums. But the sad fact is that I go to bed hungry every night. It is what it is.

By logging everything I eat & drink accurately & honestly, I know my body is well-fed. I eat "healthy" 80% of the time, and fit yummy, portion-controlled treats into my calorie goal. Deprivation can lead to bingeing.

My endocrinologist checks my levels every 3 months and adjusts my Synthroid & Cytomel accordingly. Hopefully one day I'll hit a "sweet spot" where the hunger will go away. Until then, logging is the only thing that keeps me from eating all the foods & gaining weight.

Edited to add that I was diagnosed 2 years ago. I lost way more slowly than most MFPers, so please be patient! Most of what I learned is outlined brilliantly here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants
