So excited to be starting this journey. I went to the doctor a few weeks ago and the scale said 196. Never have I ever seen a number that high, and I really never will see it again! I've yoyo'd in weight forever, and now I've decided to get it right. I'm on day 12, and I'm down 4.4lbs, (MFP won't correct that for me, so I started at 192.3 and my lowest I saw so far was 187.0) I made the unfortunate mistake of eating 5000mg of sodium the day before yesterday, and the scale showed it. So I'm not counting the two lbs. bloat weight because I know I did NOT eat that much in one day!
About me: 23 years old
Mom: 6 year old girl and a 11 month old we placed for adoption
Starting weight here:192.3lbs
Goal weight:125
Height: 5'4"
Measurements as of 5/27/14- 42-38-47 (I am bloated so these should change dramatically.
Biggest strengths: I love to eat vegetables, I can live with out sugary drinks and sodas, I have a solid gym membership at LA fitness, I like to move and walk, I have motivation until my stomach growls
Weaknesses: Italian food in general, steak, eating out at casual dining (Applebee's), weighing in everyday, cheat days, bipolar disorder obsessively weighing my food.
I just bought a food scale, and I feel so much better about everything that goes into my body since I've weighed it and calculated the cals.
I also exercise regularly. I do H.I.T (not H.I.I.T weird thing.) and I have a wii fit. I love aqua fit classes, Zumba, yoga, and classes in general.
My goal is to run in the Zombie 5k in November. That's about 6 months from my start date
So, if you'd like to follow me and my journey, I promise to upload pics often as I feel comfortable.
I plan to talk about me, my struggles, my triumphs, my boyfriend, my kid(s), my mental health struggles, fitness, recipes, etc... I have loads of yummy 400 and under recipes. I also need friends on here so feel free to add me.
I like pandas a lot I know that's random, but I feel like that could solve lots of missing context clues in the future!

Woke up really hungry this morning, plus I'm very stressed out. Our landlord sent us an unauthorized pet notice, and told us to pay 500/per pet deposit and 50/month pet rent. That's outrageous, and stressful. We had a dog for a few weeks but needed to rehome her due to her behavior. We've also babysat our friends' pets, but this is stressful. Bright side, woke up with money, that all is devoted to bills and stuff. Also, that water weight is coming off! So that's a plus.
My 6 year old was really cute this morning. She usually wakes me up, but this morning I got the last laugh. I woke her up and she kept bundling up and whining! It was too funny to show her what it feels like. It's hard to believe, but she only has 13 days left of kindergarten! I'm so shocked that it's flown by. Is this how each school year will be? August to June, just a blink? Next year she starts full day, and I'm incredibly nervous to wake up at 6:30 am daily!
As for workouts and weightloss today, I'm very very sore from yesterday. I may try to cardio or wii fit, but nothing else. My chest feels like an elephant sat on me and broke my diaphragm.
Oh, I did measure myself this morning for more accurate numbers (I.e not bloat inches)

Well, the talk with the landlord went OK. We are going to be having another inspection, which makes this feel like a police state to me. Anyway, I did go way over my goals yesterday, two Blue Hawaiians and a prime rib dip with fries. Oh, and the salad with blue cheese. not too much growth on the scale, but we shall see what comes further.
Today is a chill day hopefully.0 -
Yum. Just got done with Breakfast, and it's just under 200 calories for a big bowl of oatmeal. Finally seeing downward trend of the scale. 187.4 this morning, and I'm ok with that. I feel terrible because I cancelled brunch with my Boyfriend's mom for this Sunday, and it's a buffet champagne brunch. It's a wonderful brunch at a place called The Mission Inn, but I don't want to see high numbers Tomorrow is supposed to be a beach day in Venice, but I'm not sure how that's going to work out. My boyfriend, Brad, invited our roommate and I don't think he wants to go that much. So, I might just convince him to go sans roommate because forget other people, we can have fun on our lonesome.
Beach includes lots of walking, so that will be excellent. I really need a getaway here soon anyhow. I did aquafit last night, but didn't stay the whole time. Social anxiety got the best of me. Today we will H.I.T the gym, and enjoy our time together at least.0 -
Starting the 30 day squat challenge today! My friend invited me on Facebook, so I said "Why Not?" Weighed myself again this morning. 187.0. That 7 won't budge to a 6. I would have been happy with 186.9. Soon. Very soon.
So 50 squats today, plus having to do a full house clean. Exciting. Then it's back to the gym....oh wait, no I can't gym tomorrow. I have two appointments tomorrow. Maybe in the evening I can get in there.0 -
Well, I missed posting yesterday, so here goes today. My "aunt" is finally leaving. She took about 2lbs with her thank god! Weighed in at 185.3 this morning, which is a solid 7lbs down in the past 19 days. If I keep up this rate, my first 30 days will have seen 11lbs lost! I want to see 170.0 before my trip at the end of the month to see our daughter. We placed her for adoption on her birthday, June 30th, and now we get to go see her for her first birthday! I'm very excited. That means I need to lose 15 between now and the 27th. Bigger things have been accomplished in shorter times.
Doing the squat challenge. First day was 50. I did 30. Yesterday was 55, and I squeaked out 15. I did do leg press to failure at the gym earlier in the day, so there! Well, about to go eat some delicious frosted flakes0 -
184.6! So happy with that. If I keep up this trend, I'll be 183.0 by Friday! Did c25k last night. Felt like death but I made it through0

Haven't been posting much lately. My weight has steadied out and I'm at 184.2. I'm hoping to be lower tomorrow. I feel happy wi my slow and steady progress, and I'm vowing to never see 190 again. I will say the same about the 180s before I go on vacation. 19 days.0

I stopped posting here because of some person telling me I should just write in my blog. Nah, I think I'll write here. It's what I want. Well, I'm almost done with week 5, and I'm pretty sure I'll see some serious weightloss by Friday. I think I will have finally made it to 10lbs down that's so awesome for me. I need to really get past that ten to be happier. When I see 179.9 on the scale, I will be so ecstatic. I won't let an 8 into that second digit place again! From there it's only 5.4lbs to overweight BMI! Only someone who has been "obese" for some time would appreciate that overall, I'm 8lbs to that point, and I feel like I can hit that by the end of July.0
