Embarrassing confession!!

Yesterday I ate a 410 calorie pastry from Panera a coworker purchased for me... and then proceeded to have a 510calorie cheesesteak for dinner.

Some guilt is with me this morning.. this undoes days of work...

(X_X)

What gets you guys motivated and back on track the quickest when the occasional stumble occurs?

Mostly the understanding that one bad day of eating won't make me fat, just like one day of good eating won't make me thin.

I remind myself that long term good health is the result of long term good choices. I'll tell myself "that cheesecake tasted amazing. I'm glad I savored it. Now I can focus on foods that will fuel my body" and start planning my next meal. :)

I get so annoyed when I give in to bad food. No one makes me eat it but myself. Other people can say no, why can't I? ugh. :grumble:

Feeling down and regret motivate me to get back on track. It's usually the next day. Because today is another chance to get it right!

    #1 - A 510 calorie cheesesteak isn't a real cheesesteak. #2 - That's only 920? I'm hoping you had another 1k or so......

#1 - why can't you consume bread? #2 - macros are macronutrients. Protein, Carbohydrates and Fat. Good general rules are 1g Protein per lb of LBM and .3 g fat per lb....These are minimums.

    Precisely.

One day, I had two Boston cream donuts for breakfast and a Cold Stone sundae for dinner. It was awesome.

you sound very knowledgeable so I sent a friend request if thats ok.

And I did eat some more than that.. I rarely consume processed food, and I don't eat breads because I'm working on my six pack and in a calorie deficit right now..

and I try to hit about 180-200 grams of protein a day... - nutty? because I have about 135 lbs of LBM - and weigh about 149-150 lbs right now.

You're doing great man keep it up. Better to have less processed foods/breads than most of us have but #1 - one day isn't going to kill you. #2 - While it can have an effect on water retention/look. it will not have an effect on fat loss.
