IIFYM? Does this really work? Any success stories?

So I've came across IIFYM and I have to admit...I'm a tad skeptical. I just want to know if anyone has followed their set macros and have successfully lost weight? I have a lot of weight to lose, so something like this is like....a miracle. Also, my set calories for MFP is 1500 whereas IIFYM has around 2100 as my caloric goal. Whose is right??

MFP is 1500 PLUS any exercise calories. So when you add that in the numbers aren't as far apart.

I love IIFYM - no trying to figure out exercise calories, I'm not starving, losing weight - what's not to like?

Yes it does work, since your body breaks down food as either a carbohydrate, fat or protein. When we are interested strictly in body composition, IIFYM does work. As long as you enter your weekly exercise correctly, the IIFYM provide a good basic caloric and macronutrient place to start, Begin your diet with what IIFYM suggests. If you do not lose weight, then SLOWLY drop your calories by 100 each week until you lose 1-2 pounds per week (may be more if you are heavier).
