Hi! My name is Nisha and I am currently starting back working out. I have a bad habit of starting my workout routines for a few weeks and then I just completely stop and never go back to them. I lack the motivation to workout and I was wondering if anybody would be willing enough to help me lose weight. I have a hard time keeping track of my foods and learning to eat healthy, so I'll need a little help with that as well. Feel free to message me or friend request me anytime! Thanks

Start slow.
Start with 2 days a week. Then when you're sure you can handle that go to 3 days. Then look up how to maximize your time in the gym. If you workout at home you could handle 5 days a week. If you have to drive to a gym try to do longer workouts like 1 hour to 1.5 and that way you won't have the burden of driving more days than you really have to.
Hopefully these ideas will help you step up your gym game gradually and also make it easier to stick to.0 -
As for your foods.
This app will help you track.
Set it up with an HONEST reporting of your current activity. Then start working on meeting your cal goal at first. Try to achieve that goal within 100 cals plus or minus. Just to that only for awhile.
Then once that seems easy, start noticing your "macro's" the other things that are being tracked. Sugar is not too big a deal to track unless you are diabetic. There are settings in the diary to track whatever you want. For instance Iron, Sodium, etc. This way you can tailor it to what is healthy to you if you have specific things to focus on. For me it's iron, for my mom it would be sodium, for my brother in law it would be sugar as he is pre-diabetic.
You will do fine if you don't try to overdo it and overcomplicate it or do too much too soon. Phase it in.0 -
You're more than welcome to add! I have a few little tricks and plans put in place that have really helped me in this journey. I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to exercise, but I've found that it's best to have an initial written plan in place with progressing stages that are challenging yet doable-- for both "diet" and workout transitions. It's all about taking it slow and listening to your body; once you realize how much better you're feeling after a few weeks, you'll be more excited to keep it up. This place truly is the best thing for these weight loss/health/fitness journey's-- you'll not only learn so much about yourself from consistent and accurate tracking, but the support system you may surround yourself with provides so much insight, inspiration, and motivation.
