Hi All,

I have been reading around the forums and I am really confused about calorie goals because of conflicating information. I am currently eating at a 1200 calorie goal. I work out at least 5 days per week, a mixture of cardio and weight training. Some forums seems to be saying that I need to be eating more to lose the weight, others that I need a bigger calorie deficit to lose weight.

I am totally confused because the weight isn't coming off and I don't know if that is because I am eating too much or too little.

please Help!

first question why do you have a 1200 a day goal?

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal

If your weekly weight loss goals is anything more than 1/2lb-1lb change it.

Do you eat exercise calories back? and if so how are those calculated?

Your intake do you weigh your solids? measure your liquids?

How long has it been since you lost weight?
