Looking for committed friends

Hi, I have been on MFP for 3-4 years but I created a new profile to break out of the rut I was in. I found myself doing the same thing and supporting everyone else and it gave me an excuse to not focus on myself. Its time to find a balance with that. Its time to build a team of friends and supporters to help each other obtain our goals.

I finally started getting back into my exercise routine. My goal is to burn at least 700 HRM calories but hoping for 1000+ HRM calories per day, 5-6 days a week. I used to be that active...sometimes even going to the twice a day so my husband could go after work and burning like 1500 HRM calories a day. It was crazy but even though I was still 30lbs overweight at the time I was muscular and loved the way I looked. I cant fit into any of my old summer shorts UGH! lol

I have gained 40 pounds back. I want to lose another 73lbs on top of my current weight loss. That will bring me to 170 and a size 8 jeans. (I know it doesn't seem to add up but again, I'm muscular which means less volume and I was in a 12 jean at 210lbs). I struggle with food more than anything else. I don't really overeat savory foods much but the sweets get me every time. I tend to have a mind set that If I'm depressed I eat, If I'm happy I eat, If there is a holiday I eat, If there is a set back I eat, If I'm on Vaca I eat...like it justifies overeating/high sugar foods every time. Every day there is a "reason" why its okay...sigh

So I'm looking for friends who are interested in getting fit and not just losing weight. I want to be a girl beast :) LOL. Trust me, I'm very girly but I want to walk into the gym and own it. I want muscles to show, I want to be a competitor in everything I do physically. I want friends like that!
I tend to lean towards people with HRM's just because I feel like there are a lot of inaccuracies in the machines numbers and mfp counts. It makes me feel like it invalidates my hard work when someone has the same burn count and worked out less time and intensity. I feel bad saying that but that's how I feel. Its not required by no means, especially its your clearly kicking butt. I'm willing to support anyone who is trying their best. Its hard work so I applaud anyone who are taking steps to get healthy.

I hope that I find some lifelong friends who share my values. Thanks everyone!

    Hey there!

    You sound like me! LOL!

I work out 5-6 times a week. I wear a HRM (though it's been acting up lately). I also have weakness for sweets!

Would love to have you as a friend. I'm on MFP daily.
