Since Jan I have lost 20 lbs, 15 here on MFP, BUT I'm still wearing the same size 12 pants - sure they are looser, but I was hoping to go down a size. Any ideas...

Keep on keeping on. You'll get there! They are looser, after all. Some people change sizes with 10 lbs, some with 20, some a little more. And for the toning program - change it up (not to repeat someone else . . .) the more muscle you build, the more fat you will burn and 1 lb of muscle takes up lots less room than 1 lb of fat!!

First off- I'm a pear shape.

I lost 12 pounds and inches everywhere except my hips so all of my pants are looser but not quite bigger. I'm hoping to go down a size too but until I lose the inches from my hips my size 10's will continue to work.

Gratz on the 20lbs! Keep going and you'll see more results.

it sounds like a plateau and it will go away soon you have to do the extra cardio and more toning with that muscle you will burn more fat...and it will go down but they are looser so you are on the way

did your pants really FIT.. i know that my pants are prob way too small on me but i wear them. the weight i have lost i didnt loose any pants size until i was over 30 lbs but the stomach is the last place you loose.. GOOD LUCK keep up the good work..
  • Same thing with me. I think they are just looser. It's amazing how much you have to loose to actually drop a pant size.

    I thought 10 lbs would mean a size, but for me, it's been about 15 - 18 lbs/size.

Just keep going - You'll get there!
