When & how did you notice progress with your fitness plan?

I'm in my third week with my new gym routine with mainly consists of anaerobic stuff. I usually get my heart rate up to 160-170 for the 40-45 minutes that I am working out. This morning, I woke up and felt that my biceps were bigger and despite some shaky eating, I've been losing about 1.5 pounds a day. What little signs of progress have you noticed upon starting a new fitness plan?
