It has been discussed. If you search raspberry keytones here you will find lots of opinions on the matter.0

NO.
They won't help so don't waste your $. Just eat at a deficit.0 -

^^^ This. Yes, it's been discussed plenty of times, and no, they won't do anything for you. The only thing they'll make lighter is your wallet. lol0 -
Eating at a calorie deficit will help.
And exercise. Move more, eat less. You can do it without fad diet pills. I have faith in you. :flowerforyou:0 -
Thanks guys the verdicts unanimous on that one then.
I jus feel like ive slowdown in weight loss.

How long have you been counting calories, and how much is a "slowdown"? I'd just be happy I was still losing weight.
Sugary stuff isn't bad for you, but if it helps keep you in a deficit, then good job!0 -

How long have you been stuck for? Weight loss tends to slow down as you get closer to your goal and if it's just been a couple of weeks without a loss than that's likely just a typical stall due to water retention (sodium, hormones, exercise, etc can all cause a bit of water retention). If it's been much longer than that you may want to double-check your calorie goals and your logging accuracy to be sure you're still eating at a deficit.
Stalls and plateaus are generally beaten by getting more diligent with your logging and activity, not with magic pills.0 -
im stuck on 10.5stone hve been for few months now. still way off from my goal.
I do feel my tummys shrunk (inner tummy not outer  )

If you've been stuck for a few months then you're not eating at a calorie deficit. You're either overestimating how much you burn or underestimating how much you eat (or some combination of the two).
With your diary locked it's hard to give specific advice. How many calories are you eating? Are you accurately logging your food? Including things like veggies, condiments, and cooking oils? Are you using a food scale, measuring cups/spoons, or guesstimating portion sizes? Are you exercising? Are you eating back your earned exercise calories? If so, what method are you using to estimate your burn? Do you have any health issues that might be affecting your weight loss?0 -
Trust me. I've tried several "diet" pills including raspberry ketones. None of them work. I haven't had luck with diet and exercise either, but at least that's free. :laugh:0

sorry didn't realise my diary was locked. ive stopped adding calories burned for couple weeks nw thinking maybe I am over eating
n if I dont add calories burned I wont eat.
Im on 1200 calories and near enough am close to my target for home cooked meals yh im guestimating. for everything else
im adding whats on the packets.
I walk for 30 mins morning and afternoon sometimes miss a morning but always do afternoon.
I have machines behind my kids school in the park I use them for about 30-40 mins in total and if I dont do that
I work out at home for 30 mins. Im active throughout the day cooking cleaning the usual.
Im using the MFP estimate for burn.
Im thinking maybe my bodys gotten comfy with my routine thats why I started to exercise more often before it was 2-3 times
a week nw im tryin to hit 7 times a week minimum 5 days at least. kids r hme on weekend so dont always get chance to work out.0 -

This would be the first thing I would suggest changing. Get familiar with the recipe builder here and start logging the actual ingredients you're using. Buy a cheap food scale and start using it, or at the very least a set of measuring cups and spoons (food scale will be more accurate, but anything is better than guessing). Unfortunately, it's really easy to wipe out your calorie deficit by logging inaccurately.

Only if you wash them down with apple cider vinegar...0

Just.... no. Waste of money.
If you have an upcoming wedding, do strength training. F@ck the scales- seriously. I had the "extreme dieting/calorie restriction" mentality for about 3 months and I just ended up with the smaller version of the spare tire I already had. You know the drill- 1200 calories, cardio like crazy, clean eating... blah blah blah. I lost 20 lbs in that time, but it did absolutely nothing for how I looked and how I felt about my appearance.
I've only been serious about strength training for about a week now and I'm absolutely noticing a difference in my appearance despite no movement on the scales. Start small, but challenge yourself.
Think of it this way: which would you rather have after the wedding- pictures where you look AWESOME and toned, or knowing you weighed less on the scales (and nobody else knows how much you weigh) while still looking flabby?0 -

with as it suits me fine. because before I decided to do this I was tryin every quick fix weightloss technique
possible as alot of ppl do. Would eating less calories effect weight loss too tho?
I do sometimes put in more calorie intake then I've actually had to try n stop eating too much.0 -

Hi thanks for that. yh im same ppl r noticing a difference in my appearance altho im not but scales aren't budging.
What kind of strength training are you doing if you don't mind me asking?0 -

I see what you did there lol I thought the apple cider vinegar post was funny0 -
I used the forum search and here is just the first page (of 50) of topics discussing this weight loss 'shortcut'.

My opinion... just flush your money down the toilet. It will be just as effective. There ARE no shortcuts to weight loss. A calorie deficit is the only way.0 -
Hi thanks for that. yh im same ppl r noticing a difference in my appearance altho im not but scales aren't budging.
What kind of strength training are you doing if you don't mind me asking?
I sometimes do Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred if I want a little more structure, but I do LOTS of squats and push ups, as well as side lunges (those are really helpful), dumbbell raises, tricep extensions. I'm slowly lifting more and more but I'm noticing results more as I push myself harder. I'm not bulking up, but my spare tire is actually going away (which I'm THRILLED about)
I've stayed roughly the same for almost 2 weeks now but my pants are almost falling off me because they're so loose- so I'm actually happy. Who cares if you're 1000 lbs if you are lean and toned or look like a bikini model? Really, it's just an arbitrary number.0 -
Sounds like another yo-yo diet in the making here.0

wow well done that's really good:bigsmile:
push ups I do struggle with I try but im nt getting any better. I'll try that then thanks for that. I am doing alot of upper body exercises at the moment. advance cardio and combat. I have slim legs and larger upper body. so want my upper body to balance my lower body
I guess weight wise yh ur right I suppose as long as im looking slimmer and can fit into smaller sizes im happy.
but I would like the scales to drop even a bit0 -

oh pls dont say that I thought I was finally getting a handle on things. ive lost a stone so far0 -

I do sometimes put in more calorie intake then I've actually had to try n stop eating too much.
The concern with eating too few calories is less about weight loss and more about nutrition and sustainability. The less you eat the harder it is to get enough vitamins, minerals, fat, protein, etc into your diet and a lot of people burn out and yo-yo diet because they eat too little when they're trying to lose weight. You're also more likely to lose muscle mass if you're eating too little, which leaves a lot of people with a body they aren't happy with when they reach their goal weight.
But until you actually know how many calories you're really taking in I wouldn't worry too much about whether you're eating too much or too little. That will make itself apparent once you get your logging under control.0
