Bad. Bad. Bad.

UGHHHH!!!! I just consumed my daily calorie goal for just lunch!!! I know we all have our days where stuff happens and we have to move on and tomorrow is a new day and blah blah! But I had to post it for accountability. I'm so mad at me. Maybe if I go to bed at 6:30 I won't need dinner. Lol    Putting on my sneakers for a walk!

Don't feel too bad about it, just get moving! :) Things happen all of the time that throw us off guard, and now you know to plan better for next time. Good job staying accountable for it!

    You're welcome! :flowerforyou:

We're all in this together! It sucks sometimes, but c'est la vie.

My thoughts are that you can't be perfect all the time! Log it and move on!

Was this at a brunch or lunch party or something? Never fails...food aplenty...people pushing you to "enjoy yourself," and suddenly you ate what you should have reserved for dinner!

Have some thing light for dinner anyway and burn some calories walking for a while! Then tomorrow is a new day.

I used to feel bad about things like that when I first started counting calories, but now I look forward to having an "off" day now and then. Today I'm going on a sushi binge.

I suggest to just move on and don't worry about it much. Eat lighter for dinner, if it helps you feel better about it.

Actually the opposite! I had a surprise day off work today.. SO it was just me myself and I at home.. all alone and the fridge was looking so sexy! HAH. The silly part was I just "grazed" on random things. I ate a million cheez its, a fiber one bar, a cheesestick, 3 tbsp of peanut butter, 2 cookies and a partridge in a pear tree. Just random and stupid of me!

I totally get it, and LOL at your comment about the sexy fridge.

The other night my husband wasn't around at dinnertime so I was on my own and while I used to come up with healthy light meals for those times, I randomly ate vanilla yogurt, a Zone bar, an egg, a bit of cheese, and so on...not as satisfying as a real meal IMO!

If it's a free day from work, sneak in an extra workout, eat a light dinner and call it good. You may be able to work back a lot of those calories. Just one more little challenge to work through!!

Just FYI, I'm in the same boat today but am at work. Couldn't find enough food to stuff into my face so the plan is a double workout when I get home!

If you are at all metabolically efficient you should be able to skip a meal without much discomfort.

Just a tip after reading about your day off, sometimes for me it's boredom eating when I get like that. What works for me is saying "Okay, I'll pick up a bit around the house (sort laundry, mop the floor, clean the bathtub, etc), and if I'm still hungry I can eat something then." That way I'm not just munching uncontrollably, I have a task at hand.

Someone said something to me once... "If you're not hungry enough to eat this apple then you're not really hungry."
    So true!

I've learned that if you have a meal like that it's important to not try and "start over" the next day. Your whole day isn't a waste. Just pick up from there. Go for a walk, do some house work and have a sensible dinner.

Next time you know your in a grazing mood prepare your days meals with grazing in mind. Set it all up and log it in the morning. Pick foods that you can graze on throughout the day (fruit, veg/dip, cheese, crackers, nuts, chips, whatever) and set it aside from the original packaging. Since it's already accounted for you won't feel like you've failed. Then you feel like you've had a "cheat" day but your still in your calorie rang.

Good Luck! And don't beat yourself up over it. We all do it. It's the lessons we take that are important and help us move forward to a healthier us.

Plan your day better next time. Move on and learn from it. You'll be fine.

Thank you! I always have my meals planned fairly well! I always plan my lunch for work and like I said with a surprising day off I left my well planned lunch right in the fridge and ate other stuff anyway! lol. Normally I have no time for grazing so today I was like hmmmmm.... And I learned a lesson for sure! Thanks again.
