Body fat scales.

I realize they are notoriously inaccurate and I understand that.

But are they at least usuable to the point that a scale that is consistantly 10 lbs off would work in tracking progress?
I dont care if it gives me the wrong amount, but would it give me the wrong amount all the time and I can track the progress?

If so, any suggestions?

A lot of people here don't like them.

I have one, and I only check my BF% every 1-2 weeks on it. I always weigh in the same conditions every time - that is, first thing in the morning, before I have had anything to eat or drink.

I figure even if it's off, I can at least track the trend. I plan on having a dexa scan when I get closer to my goal weight, to confirm where I'm at.

They can definitely be way inaccurate, but so can calipers and other methods for measuring body fat. Just pick one and stick to it. I used to have a scale that measured body fat. I found it helpful to track the trend. It was just another tool in the toolbox.

yeah I have a good routine for weighing in and I know the reps on those things arent the greatest but if they at least are wildy inaccurate but so in a matter it is consistant I could track (1x/month) I would be ok with it. I dont need to know the exact number, just a way to track it. My issue is I have heard people say they get on it multiple times in a row and it will be totally diff in matter of minutes.
