Body fat scales.

I realize they are notoriously inaccurate and I understand that.
But are they at least usuable to the point that a scale that is consistantly 10 lbs off would work in tracking progress?
I dont care if it gives me the wrong amount, but would it give me the wrong amount all the time and I can track the progress?
If so, any suggestions?

A lot of people here don't like them.
I have one, and I only check my BF% every 1-2 weeks on it. I always weigh in the same conditions every time - that is, first thing in the morning, before I have had anything to eat or drink.
I figure even if it's off, I can at least track the trend. I plan on having a dexa scan when I get closer to my goal weight, to confirm where I'm at.0 -
They can definitely be way inaccurate, but so can calipers and other methods for measuring body fat. Just pick one and stick to it. I used to have a scale that measured body fat. I found it helpful to track the trend. It was just another tool in the toolbox.0

yeah I have a good routine for weighing in and I know the reps on those things arent the greatest but if they at least are wildy inaccurate but so in a matter it is consistant I could track (1x/month) I would be ok with it. I dont need to know the exact number, just a way to track it. My issue is I have heard people say they get on it multiple times in a row and it will be totally diff in matter of minutes.0
