Popcorn - is this right?

we always made ours in a wok- dad was the porpcorn king.
couple tablespoons of oil- 3 kernels to tell if it was hot enough- then put the cup in there.
I have fear of trying the paper bag method only because if it doesn't work- I have bags- and popcorn- and no effing popcorn- and I'm not going to lie- that's going to make me extremely cranky.
but it's not to expensive- so might be worth the trouble. I know buying pre- done bags is at an inflated price- but my lazy typically trumps that LOL0
