food before and after workout

If you wake up and go and workout, do most people eat something before and after? And what is it that you eat?

    If I am working out first thing in the morning in the gym in my condo then I generally just have a glass of water before and then when I get back I have a protein smoothie and about an hour later after I have showered and dressed I eat my breakfast.

    On the weekends I workout at the Y and for a lot longer so I will generally have a fruit smoothie before I go and then breakfast with lots of protein after.

    Hi. I train at 6.30am. I either train fasted, or have black coffee & coconut oil. I don`t gave enough time to digest food. Within 30 mins of training, I have whey protein, followed by a solid meal 60 - 90 mins later
