I need a larger variety of low calorie dinners

I feel as if I'm living on nothing but brown rice + chicken + random flavoring sauce to mix it up. I really need to supplement my diet with a wider range of meals that don't tip my calories too far.

What do you all eat often that you find is a great filling meal but doesn't destroy your calorie limits?

I'm boring and typically eat the same from day to day... chips, salsa, & plain nonfat greek yogurt for dinner. When I want lower cals and just as much protein I'll make breakfast for dinner. Usually an omelet or turkey & egg sandwich.

I've been eating my 'normal' foods.. just watching portions... chicken, fish, pork chops, lots of fruits and veggies.. salads... eggs... with all the great fresh produce now at farmer's markets it's been awesome. One of my go to meals is to pan fry a pork chop (4oz boneless) in a skillet with some no calorie butter spray and a tad of olive oil.. sprinkle it with salt, pepper, garlic powder and some cajun seasoning... then have a veggie of some sort and either a tossed salad or some sliced cucumber/tomatoes... another is tilapia fillet.. drizzled with fresh squeezed lime juice, salt, pepper, and dill (or whatever seasoning strikes my fancy that night).. again with a veggie.

Simple chicken stir fry with celery, bell peppers, onions , garlic, maybe a few nuts. You can vary the sauces to change it up. Some days I have hoisin sauce, other days just sherry with soy and broth. Instead of rice, use a measured portion of pasta. Mixing up the veggies is fun and keeps things fresh. Good luck!

I usually indulge for lunch. I'll have anything really, Cuban food, Turkish, Thai, Japanese, etc. But I'll split it in half. So my first portion will be around 1 and the last portion at 4:40ish. Then for dinner I'll have something very light. I'm a huge fan of sauteed Spinach on 100 calorie bread and hot sauce.
I'll be stalking this thread for further ideas.

    Define 'low calorie'.
