Diet pills?

Hello,
I have been trying to lose weight for quite a long time, almost over a year! I have 25lbs or more to shift and was wondering is there any diet pills/appetite suppressants that work? I am sick of starting a diet then eating healthy all day and binging at night!
Thank you.

I'm afraid not.0

No. Eat more filling foods throughout the day if you're finding you are really hungry in the evening.0

Diet pills will not work for permanent weight loss. I took Ephedra for a long time. It worked, but the minute I stopped taking it, the weight came back on, and I also ruined my overall health.
There is no magic fix or magic pill. Only one thing works for weight loss. A calorie deficit. Taking in less than you burn. There are many ways to achieve this deficit, but diet pills will not work.0 -
Your best bet is to learn to do it the normal way so you have that knowledge in the future. Look around the forums some and buddy up with a few people with similar interests as you or who have reached their goals already whom you can learn from.

You'll find greater long-term success by dealing with your relationship with food and nighttime binging than any magic pill can offer.0

The way I put binging is that I eat healthy all day then at night I ruin my diet with a sugary cereal or toast, is there something you can get to suppress your appetite?0

I love late night snacks too! And cereal is a huge thing for me, I love it. So rather than keeping very sugary cereal in the house I have FiberOnce Chocolate 75 Calorie instead. Extremely filling, tons of Fiber like the name suggests, and satiates my craving to binge at night. It's about choices. No pill will help you make better choices, only you can.0 -
There are a few options for night time cravings. 1. As mentioned above keep lighter and healthier options of the foods you like to munch on so they are not as detrimental to your plan. 2. Eat less earlier in the day and plan for more calories at night. 3. Exercise is usually a really great appetite suppressant for me, about the time you usually get the muchies go to the gym or go for a run instead.
I am sure other people will have lots of other advice too.0 -

Realized it's 80 Calories, not 75.0 -
No, there's nothing that really works. Work (exercise) hard and eat what you enjoy within your calorie limit- that'll prevent you from binging. It sounds like "eating healthy all day" is setting you up for failure.0

Why a diet pill? Because even if it suppressed your appetite at night, then what do you do once you lose the weight and get to goal? Stop taking the diet pill? Then you binge again and gain the weight back? Then go back on the diet pill again?
Look at the problem objectively. You have a craving for something sweet at night because you don't eat it anytime in the day. Readjust how you eat. There's nothing that supports you can't have something sweet in the day and NOT be able to lose weight if you're in calorie deficit.

Do a slight calorie deficit instead, and don't deprive yourself on what you want. Just learn moderation the best way you can.
Moderation is great, plus it's free.0 -
Prescription diet pills do indeed work. It is best go to a diet clinic where they do blood work, an EKG, and take your blood pressure each month in addition to giving you nutritional counseling.
Eating too much at night after dinner was my problem too. Now I don't have that problem. Posting your food and exercise on this site will be a way of making sure you keep on track and eat healthy.0 -
Nothing wrong with a serving of sugary cereal at night so long as you can fit it in your calorie goals. It's not a ruined diet because you ate food. There, I saved you money and compromising your health with diet pills0
