For $130 (price at Amazon), it looks like it has some nice features. I never use any of the fitness planning features in these things (I have an F11), but that's just because I am too lazy to program them and I have been doing this so long, rightly or wrongly, I don't think I need them.
However, this unit does allow you to program in your VO2 max manually, which I think is very important. Like all Polar products, it's going to be reliable and well-made, and you can add the pods to it as well for running.
One of my complaints about Polar HRMs in general was that, while they might be great HRMs, they were crappy stopwatches. The lap counting features, etc, were not user friendly. Years ago, I would wear a second stopwatch in addition to the HRM. Since this is designed specifically for running, perhaps they have improved those features.
I'd say it's a good upgrade.0
