I thought I would jump in and introduce myself. I am five feet seven inches tall, female, and 210.8 lbs. My starting weight was 237, joined myfitnesspal 2 lbs ago, and I'm hoping to get down to 137. I've been overweight since childhood. My first year of college, I way-too-quickly dropped weight on a crash diet, going from 230 to 155 in about five months. Needless to say, it didn't last and I put it all back on, minus some of the muscle I'd previously had. After that, I've tried a bunch of different diet plans including weight watchers, and had some short term success, but I never ended up sticking with it, and my weight always ended up hovering around 230.
This time around, I've been doing it the right way by making serious changes to my lifestyle, finally ready to accept that there is no such thing as a quick fix, no magic pill, just hard work. And I'm setting non-weight related goals as well as goals for the scale. I've been sticking with it so far.
