Today, I was running and I run by time but other than working on my form. I'm trying to improve my lung performance so that I can go faster and farther.
Anyhow, other than swimming and more running is there anyway that I can improve?

I take it that when you say you run by time you are doing steady state pace work? What time/ distance are you already getting to?
In general if you aren't already reaching about 60 minutes worth of running then its a question of adding time until you are at that point. Once you're there then you can add tempo and interval sessions to improve your exercise efficiency and VO2Max.0
