I'm just wondering what everyone's opinions and thoughts on working out while I am experiencing tension pain in my shoulders. I know you shouldn't work the same muscle every day but what if the pain is from tension. Should I continue and go forward with my workout or avoid my workout until the pain is gone? Sometimes the pain can last two days or more in a row. I have a history of tension pain and headaches so I know its not just from working out.

Talk to a doctor. Pain is a warning sign. The shoulder is a complex, injury-prone joint, and you definitely do not want to acquire an injury that requires shoulder surgery. I've known people who tried to ignore pain or "work through" it, and it didn't end well.0
