Fat counter on Food Page

Hello All,
This is my second go-around w/MFP and I am using it in conjunction with Choose To Lose.
My question: When entering our food on the FOOD page, HOW EXACTLY is the FAT being measured?
By Grams or by FAT CALORIES? I need to keep track of my FAT CALORIES on this program and I want to be sure I am not seeing one thing and counting on something else.
Thanks for your help!!

In the fat column they are tracked by gram but the under the calorie column it is total calories from all sources (fat, carbs and protein). FYI 1 gram of fat has 9 calories, so to get your fat calories you would multiply the number in the fat column by 9.0

One gram of fat equals about nine calories. So just take the grams of fat on the calorie counter, multiply by nine, and you've got your fat calories.0
