icecream taste test

Yeah so this post has nothing to do with the nutritional merits of icecream. I wish icecream was a health food, but sadly it's not. It's a great indulgence though! Which brings me to the question--There are so many brands and flavors of icecream out there to choose from! If you could only pick one what would it be? Lately I've been leaning towards Talenti' s salted caramel gelato--so delicious!

Cappuccino crunch or mocha almond. not sure what brand makes them but we used to serve it at a coffee/ice cream shop I used to work at. Other than that blue licorice when I see it around :P

Talenti Sea Salt Caramel is one of my favorites. I could plant my face in some Turkey Hill Whoopie Pie, though. Jeni's has some amazing flavors, like Sweet Potato with Torched Marshmallow, but it's a little on the expensive side, unless you catch their online sales. You can get some good ideas from this. It's over, but really, it's never over. www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1258212-30-day-gelato-ice-cream-cleanse-diet

What makes it not a "health food"?

Also, Talenti - Sea Salt Caramel, almost everyday.
Doesn't have a lot of nutrients except maybe calcium lol. Typically loaded with lots of fat and sugar.

Lately I've been eating Braum's Bordeaux Cherry Amaretto frozen yogurt. Not my absolute favorite, but it's pretty darn good!
Many years ago they had a Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookie Dough that was amazing.

Seems like you're just making an assumption.

Fat isn't bad for us, is it?
What's wrong with sugar if you are in a caloric deficit?
My body says so lol. If I could I would live off of pancakes, donuts, pizza and icecream but if I fill up on that stuff I feel like crap even if I'm in a deficet. They're ok in moderation though.

I am in love with Talenti Sea Salt Caramel. Just today, I took some to a co-worker. After eating almost the whole pint, she declared she hates me now

I do love ColdStone. My favorite is Sweet Cream ice cream with yellow cake, roasted almonds, and strawberries. Makes a nice version of strawberry shortcake.

Recently, I stumbled across Coolhaus ice cream at Central Market. Got a taste of chocolate lava cake and it's pretty awesome. Great texture and very chocolate-y.

Love this - Nestle's new Lil Drums, the old drumstick ice cream cone but only 140 calories (I think). Found them at the grocery store last week. Just what I need, ice cream with portion control.

I used to make my own. Full fat, full eggs, real Mexican vanilla bean. People would call me and ask if I had made any so they could come over. Sadly, diabeetus stopped that.

Now, this is actually really good, Canadian brand, so I don't know if you can get it anywhere else.
