Hello my name is Brandi and I am joining for support. I have struggled with my weight for my entire life. I am 28 years old now itstime to kick the food crutch to thecurb. I am a stay at home mom of four amazing children so I am cconstantly running around doing something bit I have put my health on the back burner. I am bound and determined to change that and have recently started my change. Im not going to call it a diet ( those never work) but I am running into a problem already. I ordered Turbo Fire and high intensity cardio workout two years ago.. After doing it for two weeks and loosing ten pounds I broke my foot and never started again. After that I gained about 30 pounds more, went to the dr and was put on phentermine. After three weeks I overdosed on the medicine as I didnt think it was doing anything. Since then I started having PVC or premature heart beats. The dr put me on betablocjers and ran a to of test. My echo, stress, and recent ekg all came back normal and he released me to the care of my primary doctor. Now the challenge, I am TeRRIFIED of working out! How do I know wen its safe to workout and what my limits are? I started the workout and of course at the beginning of the dvd is says not for people with cardiac problems! That statement sent me into a full blown panic attack! How do i know when its safe to push my heart? Are normal test results enough or should i make an appointment and go over it with my primary doctor? Thanks for any advive received!

I would definitely talk to your doctor about all of this. Everyone is different so your ability to exercise might be better or worse than the next person's who had comparable issues.

If you're given the all clear and it still makes you panic, I would suggest starting with easier workouts to ease yourself into it. Maybe try walking around a bit first. Good luck!

I have PVCs as well. I also have leaky mitral and pulmonary valves, a murmur and an aortic aneurysm (Mine are a result of being born with ToF). Talk to your dr if you are super concerned, and (s)he can give you an appropriate range as a goal. Meanwhile, do moderate work. If you start to feel ANY chest pain/dizziness/nausea - slow down the intensity. If it doesnt get better within a couple minutes - or gets worse - STOP!!! Do not push yourself past your body's limitations.
