Should I eat them back or no? I have been reading on here and see many differing opinions please share yours and why because I would like some help figuring this out. I have a pretty low metabolism anyway if that helps

Yes. Hasn't failed me once in the last 1,220 days.0

I usually eat back about half of what MFP estimates I burn, because I find their numbers to be inflated.0

It depends on which calculator you use to estimate your calories. If you use MFP's then yes you have to eat them back because that's how it works. Personally I think it's stupid and extra work because then you have to log your workouts and then track the extra calories after that. So what I do is calculate my calories after exercise is factored in, and then I don't have to track anything because I'm already given the extra calories. It's just so much easier but everyone has their own preference.0

Thank you, I looked at your profile and what you have accomplished and it makes sense to do that now. I also signed up with a different trainer at my gym because heavy lifting seems to make much much more sense than the little 10 pound dealies
EDIT: I also dont know how "active" I am. some days work is a desk job and others I log 10k steps while at work and workout when I get home so I just set this to sedentary and told fitbit to move the data0 -
When I was at this before, I ate them all back and didn't lose mucb. Since being at this now, I do about half back or more if I'm hungry. 2 weeks and down 6 lb so far, and I have Hashimoto's. Finally losing0

This makes sense too to me because I have hypothyroid. They never tested for hashis. Damn, still confused.0 -

I have a desk job also, but I have myself set as lightly active because I never stop moving, haha Good luck! I do agree that MFP tends to overestimate calories a bit, but trust the process. It doesn't have to be a perfect number every day. Ultimately if you are not going over your maintenance calories you should still lose. Keep it simple!0 -

If you have a thyroid issue, all bets are off. You should have mentioned that at the start. You need to see a specialized nutritionist that can help you.
I did that to get my macros in line but the calorie amount is an enigma to me still. I saw one for 7 months while they got my meds figured out and then my insurance stopped covering it0 -
you can if you want. It wont put you over your limit0
