Linking steps with Fitbit

Options
Can I log 40 minutes of running on the treadmill as cardio activity, or should that 40 minutes only be included in Fitbit steps? I really sweat and get heart rate up...seems like I should get more credit than just adding steps! But I don't want to over estimate my activity.

Think I'm becoming a bit obsessed. But my daughter's wedding is in 4 months!! 27 down, 20 to go. ????

I wouldn't log it because that is what FitBit is made to track. You will get the credit for it if you take enough steps in the day (and 40 minutes on the treadmill should certainly get you most of the way there) and have it linked to MFP.

Logged exercise overwrites fitbit data for the period of activity.

this true but then my thought would be why wear fitbit if you plan to overwrite it, esp when this website calorie burning counts are ridiculously high

My advice would be stick to fitbit calculations as its more likely set to be accurate than this website over calculates for example I have tried overwriting once and this website had me burning 160 calories more than fitbit which is a concern when I have trying lose weight by calorie deficit
