bored with 30 day shred

Don't get me wrong, I love it. Love what it has done for my body, but I have done it mostly daily for a while - and then mixed it in with other workouts for about 6 months now.

I don't think I'm interested in the P90-whatevers or Insanity. I run, walk, or hike, do yoga, and as I said 30 day shred. What else would you suggest, especially for arm toning/definition? I also like the interval training/fat burn that 30DS offers. Should I just stick with it? Would really just like something new, something to spice up what I already do.

Any thoughts?
TIA

  • Wow, you've been doing 30DS for almost 6 months?? I'm on Day 4 and can't imagine going that long! Congrats! I think you have every right to be bored with it. I personally don't intend to continue after I finish the 30 days, I'll probably find a new workout to take its place. Bottom line though - if you're bored, move on! Your body is probably bored too and no longer doing the workout as effectively.

I've heard really good things about P90X, but I know it does take longer than 20 mins. So if you're looking for something that takes about the same amount of time, that may not be the best solution. What about another JM product, like No More Trouble Zones?

Have you tried No More Trouble Zones or Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism? Jillian does both of those and they are frightening. They're longer than 30DS but I like them a lot. No More Trouble Zones is great. I'm pretty sure it's the reason I've lost so much arm this month. It's all strength and she works your arms/shoulders from all angles. Banish Fat is all cardio but they're both still circuits like she does in the 30DS.

I really like Denise Austin Videos. Her boot camp is as tough as 30 day shred. It's two 20 min segments so its quick. I got them online at her website, and I've seen them at Chapters. She's got a great selection of different videos, yoga, toning, cardio, dance etc.

Wow, you've been doing 30DS for almost 6 months??

 not every day. Yikes! It did it daily for you know, 30 days, then I would go back to it every 2 - 4 days after walks/runs.etc. I like it.

Franzy - have been interested in Zumba - I don't know much about it though - can you get dvds or do you have to take a class?

Yes, I think other JM products might be a good idea. I really like the Yoga Meltdown, it doesn't burn as many cals tho.

    Thanks everyone!

I like Jackie Warners Xtreme Training..it is a 30 min video and I get a workout from it....downside is that it only has one workout on it..
  • I would suggest P90X or even Turbo Fire. My wife and I have used P90X and Insanity on a regular basis and lost over 30lbs each. I blog about our journey at www.dietsandexercisesuck.com. Have a look and feel free to ask questions about our experience.
