Help?! trying to lose this baby fat.

I'm seeking some kind of hope and help on my journey back to my "pre-pregnancy" weight.
Although this is no excuse bc my son is 4 /:
i weigh 175 pounds and want to go down to 125.. that's 50 pounds to lose.
I'm eating an average of 1100 Calories per day. && watching sugars.
i'm currently on my 2nd week of Focus T25.
My goal is to lose it all by November.

Are my goals set to high?? seeking some help.. I don't have a support group to turn to..

Why are you only eating 1100 calories?

    Why are you watching sugars?

And why by November? Your last 50 pounds in 6 months is unlikely

On average you can lose between 1-2lb per week as long as you stick within the calorie limit mfp gives you. Also try and include some exercise. I think your calories are very low as im not far over 175 and my cals are more than that. Why are you watching sugars? We do need some of this in our diet and opposed to eating too much of foods, eating too little can also be unhealthy.

Feel free to add me if you want.

How tall are you? 1100 calories seems really low.

My 3rd baby is 4.5 weeks old and I've started back in my weight loss again. I exercised and logged all through pregnancy but still gained. I haven't weighed myself but I reckon I need to lose about 30lbs.

I'm aiming for 1650 calories. I was eating about 1600 pre pregnancy, and losing, but I'm heavier now so I guess my TDEE is higher. I worked that out, subtracted 20% then subtracted a bit more before.

At the moment I'm walking every day, but I'll start exercising again after my 6 week check. I plan on doing a mix of gym sessions, spin, step, Zumba, aerobics, core stability etc, probably 5 a week, and also walk a lot.

I eat really healthily all week, and have a treat at the weekend.

I lost 67lbs after my last child so hopefully less than half of that should be a lot easier,

Im eating 1100 calories bc I eat 200-300 for breakfast and lunch with a 100 cal. snack in between. after that 75% of the time i'm way to full to even think about dinner. I might eat fruits for dinner.

IMO you need to eat more. Your body needs fuel - especially if you're exercising regularly.

If you feel way too full, try eating foods that are more calorie dense.

I'm 5'4", lightly active, need to lose about 50 more pounds, and my calorie goal is 1380. When I eat less than that for an extended period, my weight loss stalls - it would start up again, but I'd be losing weight in an unhealthy and unsustainable way. When I up my intake, I start to lose again.

Under eating stalls weight loss for many. Eat more calorie dense foods. Your goal weekly should be about 1% of your body weight. As you lose weight you readjust the loss.

Are you trying to lose 2lbs a week? If so, then your goal is overzealous.

How did you get 50 pounds overweight if you can't eat more than 1100 calories? 3 pounds a week is only reasonable for obese people who have over 100 to lose. Even then it's difficult. You need to move to 1-1.5 lbs a week. And you need to eat more. Your body isn't getting proper nutrition with such a small calorie amount.

That's not healthy. Being that you are taller and bigger, you can eat a whole lot more and still lose weight. If you truly don't feel hungry, eat higher calories foods in moderation and make sure you come reasonably close to meeting your macros.

Oh, I see now. No, you are supposed to eat 1200 a day because your calorie deficit is already built it. Then, when you exercise, you eat back your exercise calories (a portion only if you use internet resources to come up with calorie burn estimations).
I'm trying to lose 3 pounds per week.

Not good. It's too fast and not sustainable.

Just so you know some people might come off a bit strong in their opinions but they really do just want to help you! I think the general message, from all of us who have been there done that before is that cutting calories is a great way to lose weight but cutting too many calories is normally self defeating. You'll end up hungry and miserable and prone to eventual surrender to a very real biological need to nourish your body.

Do the best you can to find some foods that are nourishing and healthy and then eat a reasonable amount of them so your body doesn't start making the weight lost harder than it should be. You've carried the weight around for a few years and you probably want to lose it so you feel better and in general people do not really feel better when they are starving all the time

Anyway, if I were you, especially if you are just getting started with all this, I would set things for 2 pounds a week and try to find foods that fill that caloric bill. Part of losing weight and keep it off is eating the right number of calories. If you can't eat 1400 calories a day to lose what makes you think you'll be able to eat 1600 to maintain? Find food that can do it, at any caloric limit and you'll be set.

Honestly, best of luck! It takes a while to find a plan that works and hopefully we are all here to help each other make good choices when we can.

I would suggest you eat at least 1400 on non-workout days and 1600 on workout days. You will likely lose a little more than a pound a week.

1% of your current body weight a week.

My baby is 16 months old and it took me closer to a year to lose 50 lbs. My focus was sporadic though. I do believe that tools like my fitness pal to be important in my success as well as excercising daily. MFP does a good job of telling you what calories you should eat at the various weight levels. You can do it!

I am also 5'7 and am trying to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I gained 65 pounds during my pregnancy and since December 2013, I have lost 36 pounds of it.

I would definitely suggest bumping up your calories. Your body does not like change. If you drastically cut your calories, your metabolism rate (the rate at which you burn calories) will slow down as your body tries to become more efficient (e.g. adaptive thermogenesis, not to be confused with starvation mode). As a result, you will see stalls in your weight loss that could have been prevented if you would have picked a more realistic weight loss goal. Instead of choosing to lose 2 pounds a week, choose a .5-1 pound a week as a more realistic goal.

Consistency with your calorie deficit is key! It does not matter if you burn 800 calories a day. If you eat in a surplus (going over your calorie goal constantly) you will gain weight. At some point, I would get measuring cups and spoons to use when cooking/eating so that you don't underestimate your portions. This definitely was an eye opener for me! Some people even use scales to weigh their food, so you may also find this helpful.

Focus on the "calories in" portion of the calories in = calories out equation. Often times calories burned through exercise are overestimated, even with heart rate monitors. The major benefits of exercise is improving cardiovascular health, so do as much as you can. But depending solely on calories burned through exercise to create that calorie deficit you are looking for can be very disappointing and frustrating.

Be patient, trust the process, and you will get to your pre-pregnancy weight! Feel free to add me :)
