I'm not buying them...I just keep seeing commercials so I figured I'd ask if they actually work for anyone. Thanks tho!0

Courtney, in general none of the quick-fix-pills-detoxes-over-the-counter-nostrums of any sort work. There are some prescription drugs that may be of some help for some people. There's a good, balanced description at http://www.win.niddk.nih.gov/publications/prescription.htm
Note that none of the drugs show major weight loss or long term benefit and many have probable side-effects that may affect you.
The only way to lose a good deal of weight long term is to consume fewer calories than you burn.0 -
Most of those pills and potions are only going to be stimulants of one sort or another mixed in with a whole bunch of trendy ingredients that some tv show spouted off as "the key to weight loss".
There will of course be some people that say they work and honestly they probably aren't even lying. A sugar pill is as effective as quite a few prescription medications for almost any disorder. The power of the mind is pretty much limitless.0 -
I think I've tried just about every over-the-counter diet pill there is. Not one did anything for me, not one. And if you read the label on all if these they state "with diet and exercise". I lost the same amount of weight WITHOUT diet pills as I did with them. So I saved a lot of money by NOT buying them.0

Do they burn more fat? No.
Do they give you extra energy? Yes. However. so does adding 6 diet mountain dews to your daily diet (and probably with similar side effects). I wouldn't recommend either, but if you're going to do one, at least the Mountain Dew tastes good.0 -
It did when it contained ephedra (pre 2004).
There is no "quick fix" for weightloss (i.e. raspberry ketones, green coffee shtick, etc.)0 -
Ephedra was the only thing that worked for me.
It also nearly killed me and after I stopped taking it the weight came right back on.
Diet pills will only make your wallet lighter.0 -

These and all other diet pills are poison! There is no substitute for making the weight loss goal a journey. Your entire choice is about what should be a permanent lifestyle change. Pills don't teach you anything at all and may actually cause more harm than good. Do it the right way and be patience and kind to yourself. It will be difficult but the challenge and surmounting it will provide so much good feeling and self confidence.0 -
Nope, just another way for folks to make money :flowerforyou:0

There is no magic fix. Count calories, eat in moderation and move your body. That's it. Don't waste money on pills.0

If they truly worked, no one would be fat!0

Don't waste your money, there's no such thing as a magic weight loss pill. Some of these gimmicks can be harmless while doing nothing but some could potential make matters worse. I tried Stacker 2 when I was 18 and thought I was going to have a heart attack. Threw that bottle away fast.0

I've tried them. They do not work.0
