Salads calculate they have salt

Hi I am back on trying again the last week or so and just noticed that on the food log when I log in salad it calculates a certain amount of salt in it. How can just vegetables cut up with no salt added have salt in them? Just wondering. I calculate my dressing separate and of course that has salt in it.

I think you are confusing salt with sodium. Sodium is an element found in many different foods.0

Is it a user added entry? (It will have a * before it, if it is) - if so somebody may have added their own salad which contains salt.0

Sodium isn't just table salt. Many foods naturally produce sodium, including vegetables, and it's a necessary nutrient.0

Why should you feel like an idiot? It was something that you didn't know, and now you do. No need to beat yourself up about it.0 -
