Trying to lose weight but also nursing!

Hi everyone! I just recently got back on here a couple days ago. I had my daughter 7 months ago and my weight has gotten out of control. I am starting to eat a lot more healthy and am only eating 1700 calories a day (or less). That sounds like a lot but I'm still nursing my daughter so that counts for those extra calories. I'd love a buddy!

  • Hi back! I also am just coming back after having a baby...today is my first day signing in. I hurt my back a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to exercise, but I'm going to try and walk and eat healthier because I'm am frustrated with the post partum body! I hope today is going well for you and you are meeting your goals. Go Nursing Moms!!!

    Hi!

I have two kiddos - 3yo and 11mo. I've been nursing continuously since the first was born. Ive lost the pregnancy weight, but I have a ways to go to my goal weight yet.

That may not be enough calories for you. Have you been to the Kelly Mom website? There's a lot of helpful info about this. I quit breastfeeding about 6 mo ago but before that, it was for about 3yrs, 2 babies. Give yourself time and don't cut your calories too much, this time is precious for you and baby and you'll only get this chance once with this baby. It'll all come off eventually :)
