End of day vs morning weight

I check my weight before bed and in the morning after coffee and bathroom but before breakfast or water. Usually there is a difference of around 1.5 to 3 lbs. depending on the bathroom break. I estimate about a lb. of water loss through respiration is a big part of that.

Last night, I had stirfry with some meat and lots of veggies, and lots of water with lime. At bedtime I weighed 198.6 and figured that it was going to be pretty hard to get back to the 193.8 that I was that morning. I got up a few times in the middle of the night and did my "regular" thing in the morning.(pun intended) Got on the scale and it said 193.1. 5.5 lbs. overnight.

This is why weighing at the same time each day is so important and yes I said everyday, but that's just me. I don't get panicked or bummed out by the scale. I know there are lots of variables that play in and it evens out over time.

Wow! that is great. I wish I could weigh myself in the morning but I am currently too heavy for my scales.

I would have never thought there would be that big of a difference.

Good post and SO true - I refuse to get on the scales at night because I'm a morning weigher and I know it'll really bum me out!
