Help! In need of squash advice...
Hi there,
Can anyone tell me if a butternut squash can be substituted for Delicata squash??? The recipe I am looking at for a squash soup calls for 3 Delicata squashes. Is the appropriate substitute 3 whole butternut squashes??? I didn't see the delicata in the store so I ended up grabbing the butternut.
I am a newbie to making squash and am making it for a dinner party tonight (bad idea to try something new with company, right??)
Any insight would be much appreciated! Thank you!
Brenna

I just Googled this because I've never heard of Delicata squash and it piqued my interest! Apparently, both Delicata and Butternut squash both have a taste similar to sweet potatoes. From what the article said, you can substitute any winter squash interchangeably. Hope that helps!0
