Typical Menu on a 1200 Calorie food allowance

Hello MFP community,

I was wondering if you could help me out with something? MFP has assigned me 1200 calories a day so I am curious what others are eating to complete their 1200 a day allowance.

    No matter the calories, I eat the foods I enjoy while meeting my macros/micros and staying in a calorie deficit that is healthy for me. This link is really full of information:

    I would suggest reading the link posted as well . 1200 is way to low it will make you gain back real fast . I follow the recommendations of scobbys TDEE calculator Your going to do great :)

    I'm currently on a 1200 diet and its working for me. I'm not starving or feel miserable at all. Currently I'm unable to work out based on medical reasons but once I get the okay to work out from my doctor, I will probably increase my calorie intake based on what my body needs.

    For now my typical 1200 diet has been as follows:

    Breakfast: 3 eggs and a large bell pepper
    Snack: small apple and mini babybell cheese
    lunch: 4 oz grilled chicken breast with 1 cup coooked broccoli
    snack: hard boiled egg
    dinner: 4 ounces (after cooked) steak and 1 cup cooked veggie (broccoli, asparagus, or french green beans)
    snack: small orange

    You can add me as a friend if you want to see what I eat everyday (anywhere from 1100 to 1400 though). I eat lots of roasted vegetables, tofu, eggs, low-fat cheese, fruit. I'm a snacker so sometimes I eat small meals to allow for snacks, but that's just me.

    ETA: For the record, this isn't the right message board for this topic.
  • My target is 1200 but I have very rarely managed it, but even with going over my target by 200 or 300 calories a day, I am STILL losing weight (usually 1lb-2lb a week). I eat 3 meals a day with snacks and take exercise simply by walking. I think just the fact that I'm conscious of calories I make MUCH better choices for myself with healthy and low-cal foods and that's what's helping the weight stay off.

    My goal is 1200 but i exercise 5-6 x a week and I eat back my calories. Im also not super strict.
