I usually try to focus on real foods but there are times where i'm in a hurry and a protein shake is just handy to have. I have been using Shakeology but have finally ditched it due to the expense. Anyone have a good recommendation on a protein shake powder that would be similar and tastes decent? Thanks!

I have found the more expensive a protein shake is the better the taste...

However, lately I've been drinking the whey protein that I get at costco 50 US Dollars

I love Body Logic's chocolate. It really tastes like a milkshake to me.
  • I quite like Maximuscle Cyclone chocolate flavour. One tip that comes in handy with a lot of the protein shakes is to leave it for five minutes or so after mixing it up, it's a lot less powdery that way.

myprotein.com have a diet and weight loss section and a meal replacement shake that I found pretty filling.

I'll have to try letting it set for a few minutes. I usually mix mine up and drink it as I'm out the door. Could be why I don't like the taste to many of the protein brands!

    Where are you based?

I use The Protein Works (UK). They are great value - one of the cheapest around and have an enormous range of flavours. You can buy sample sizes too so you can taste a selection before committing to a particular flavour.

I currently have in stock: strawberry & white choc, lemon shortcake, caramel macchiato, vanilla creme and banana smooth, all of which I like.

I've also used Bulk Powders and My Protein, both of which have been fine but TPW has a greater range of products.

you best bet is go on to bodybuilding.com and take a look at reviews and thats in them. there are soo many in stores and most people in the shops know very little other then what one makes them more money.
