Hi,
I'm from the UK. My goal is to lose 40kg.
I'm workout in the gym every weekday morning for 2.5 hours and burn on average 1200 cals according to my Polar HRM.
I do:
1 hour on Cross trainer at maximum level
1 hour on Exercise bike at a high level
30 mins of resistance training (weights)
My daily calorific intake is 1800 - 2000 cals.
My objective is to lose 1kg per week. I rest at the weekends and was wondering if maybe I should do the 5:2 diet and minimise my calorific intake to 800 cals at the weekends.
Anyone please advise.
Kind regards,
Rupesh

I'm by no means an expert, but it seems like a lot of cardio. Did you work out before? I can just about manage 30 min. or 45 at a push without falling off my bike. Don't overdo it...0

No its fine and I enjoy it. 8 years ago I followed the same gym workout routine for 9 months and lost 50kg. Unfortunately I fell into old habits and stopped going and eating junk again and gained all the weight I lost.
I feel the benefits of doing that much cardio in the mornings as it makes me feel refreshed and alert. I read about 5:2 and wonder if it may benefit me.0 -
Here are the results from today's training session:

I can't maintain my HR in Zone 3 which is 147 to 166 bpm. I feel should maintaining my HR in this region during my workout to achieve maximum fat burn.
PS How do I insert hyperlinks. Normal html doesn't seem to work.0
