Protein shake in the middle of his/her workout sessiont

Hi,

Time to time it takes me a long time to finish my workout session (esp. when I do heavy weight lifting), so I may have my protein shake in the middle of my workout session. I was wondering if it was as efficient as having his/her protein shake in post work out.

    Doesn't really matter when you take protein. The whole 30 minute to an hour thing is bro science. Just make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet.

    I've heard people able to workout longer when having it at some point during the session.

    water too. one friend will have a headache derail her if she doesn't stop her run to down a bottle of water a little past the halfway mark. sippng throughout she claims does nothing. must be , get off treadmill, down an entire bottle and get back on.

    do what works for you.

    Wont make a any difference when you drink it as far as body composition results.

    Drinking a shake during my workout would make me sick though.

    What ever make you feel better is efficient. If you feel you are getting a better pump or energy out of it, go for it.

    Though nutritionally it makes no difference.

    if you believe that timing matters, it should be very close to the same thing as taking it after a workout
