Help using TDEE calculator

Ok so I'm confused with this calculator. In order to lose weight do you subtract the 15-20% off the BMR number or the TDEE? I have seen users do both so I was confused. And how do you figure out your % of fat? I just wanted to use this tool but I want to make sure I do it right. I'm so ready to be one of the gorgeous motivational success stories that I've been looking at

You want to eat a minimum of your bmr, and subtract 15-20 % from your tdee. I am no expert, but had the same questions.
My scale gives me an estimate of by water % and fat % so I went off that. I used "IIFIYM" website to come up with bmr and tdee. Just google it (Im on my phone or would link it for you.)
Of you use tdee, dont eat back your exercise calories.
Good luck!0 -

The site I used was this one: http://www.fat2fittools.com/tools/bmr/
They also tell you how to calculate your body fat on there with a tape measure. It's under "tools."0 -
