Where can I go to get running shoes PROPERLY fitted and not spend more than like $160 on good shoes? I have wide feet with a weird bone structure, so I need good shoes that won't rip out in six months (I only plan on jogging like 9-12 miles a week). I tried getting some running shoes from Shopko but they killed my ankles. I usually go with New Balance because of their wide sizes, but I'm unsure if New Balance Twin Cities does fittings with staff that is properly trained or if it's just like going to any other shoe store where they're trying to make a buck off you.

I like Marathon Sports on 50th & Penn in Minneapolis. If you sign up for their email list/loyalty program, you get 20% off which means their prices meet or beat online prices. They also have a nice policy that lets you try out your new shoes (indoors) for two weeks; if they're not meeting your expectations, you can exchange them. I've had a great experience and service every time I've shopped with them.0
