Why exactly?

I was just wondering why exactly my weight jumped about 5lbs after my memorial day beige. I'll admit I went full gluttony on that day but 5lbs? I can not believe that it is biologically possible to gain that in fat from one day. Its been over a week and I STILL haven't gotten rid of it all. Is this water? How do I kill this and keep it from happening again?

water retention. It can take a while to get rid of it if you aren't drinking enough fluids.

^water retention. Glycogen stores refilled with the increase in calories... salty foods cause water retention... etc.

Give it some time and it'll go back down.

My 11 lbs from a similar grub out took a week to resolve itself. Well, there was around one pound of actual weight gained :blushing:

There anything I can do to speed the process? A diuretic solution? Increase water intake? Increase cardio?

Some people think increasing water intake helps. I don't know that it did in my case. I don't really see the point, personally. It's temporary and doesn't mean anything ( to me) and would pass in like a week
