For those of you who use a slow cooker I have a couple of questions what happends if a recipe calls to cook the pork shoulder for 5 to 6 hours and with 1 1/2 left on the food you check it and it looks cooked and it taste good. What happens if you stop the cooker at that moment does it mean is not fully cooked even though it looked and tasted god.

I did that today and the pork shoulder was really yummy that it melted in your mouth but had to stop because we were running shoert on time and needed to leave and since it is not automatic you have to set it to warm manually once it is done. Did not want to leave it on high for 3 hours extra.

Please tell me this was ok no big deal or else I am going to die for doing what I did. :)

If it wasn't red, or even very pink, you were right to stop it. It sounds like it was done. For next time, invest in an instant-read thermometer somyou can check the internal temperature of the meat and confirm it is done.
