Thoughts on waist training?

I've seen all this stuff about waist training over the last few months but lately on my FB feed it seems as though extremely overweight women are using it as a replacement to exercise. I have no opinions on corsets if you want to wear one, go for it, if not don't, but do you REALLY think wearing a corset is going to make all of the fat in your stomach just disappear? Why not just workout? It's just bizarre to me because it seems like some women are trying to take the easy/lazy way out. So....what are your thoughts on waist training?

Sounds like bs. If a corset was all it took, they'd be flying off the shelves.

I don't think corsets make the fat disappear, they just displace it, as well as your internal organs.

I would rather lose weight that suffer all day in a cage.

corset training doesn't make you lose weight. what it does is (after a long time) displace some of your organs and force your body into a "wasp waist". it takes a very long time to do it and in today's society, most ppl don't go to the extremes, unless it's for a fetish.

i love my corset. i wear it and all of my fat goes up to my boobs. they're pretty epic on their own, but with all the extra fat shoved up? i can motorboat myself. which is fun. but i'd still rather lose weight and not corset train.

I have corsets, but I use them to sl*t it up for my boyfriends, not for waist training.

I would also like to point out

corset wearing and waist training are two different things.

Waist training and tight-lacing are different than just strapping on a corset.

    and they aren't particularly healthy.

Great. Now all my ads are for waist training corsets.

The red and black on is kind of pretty. I'm going to click it. You know, just in case.

You mean the people that wear corsets to change the shape of their bones? For those folks that are involved in a fetish movement, I get that.

But when it becomes about faking a body shape to avoid exercise, I don't like it. Eventually you have to take it off and everything is just going to flop out anyway
